ELIGIBILITY AND REQUIREMENTS
· Foreign citizens who are of good character, in good health, friendly to China, and with an academic qualification equivalent the high school graduate certificate in China.
· Outstanding academic performance. Proof should be provided in, but not limited to, the following documents:
· Official transcripts provided by the institution where one receives the highest education qualification (both original documents and notarized copies in Chinese or English)
· Transcripts of national or regional high school graduation exam.
· Results of international standard test scores (e.g., SAT/ ACT/ A-Level/ AP/ IB/ others).
· Other supporting documents.
· Proficiency in English. Applicants whose native language is not English must provide English language test scores (e.g., TOEFL/IELTS/others)
· Aged 18 or above by September 1, 2025. Applicants who are still under 18 at the time of admission must submit relevant supporting documents.
· Conditions set by the Document No. 12 (2020) of Ministry of Education of the PRC should be met.
PROCEDURE
· Online Application
Please visit the Tsinghua University’s Online Application System (Undergraduate) for International Applicants once the application period starts. After registration, please log in to fill the application form, upload all required supporting documents, and pay for the application fee of RMB 800 after submission.
· Comprehensive Assessment
a. Comprehensive evaluation
Applicants who submitted their applications with all supporting documents on time will be evaluated by the admission committee.
b. Comprehensive test
Applicants who pass the comprehensive evaluation will be invited for the comprehensive test. The time and format of the comprehensive test will be informed later.
· Admission Decision
The admission decision is based on comprehensive assessments of applicants’ academic performance, language proficiency, supporting materials as well as the results of comprehensive tests.
SCHEDULE
The application schedule for Academic Year 2025/26 is
· Online Application: 8:00 AM, 26 August 2024 to 5:00 PM, 31 March 2025 (Beijing Time)
· The specific time and format of the comprehensive test will be informed later.
· Results announcement: May 2025
